Our Sewer and Drain Services in Salem
Drain Snaking and Auger Service
A professional drain snake moves a flexible cable through the pipe to break apart, retrieve, or open a path through many common obstructions. Our drain snaking service can address suitable fixture drains, branch lines, main drains, and private sewer lines. The technician selects the cable and attachment according to pipe size, access, and blockage type. Snaking often works well for hair, paper, soft debris, roots, and compacted material. When residue remains along the pipe walls or the clog keeps returning, hydro jetting or camera inspection may provide a better next step.

Hydro Jetting and High Pressure Drain Cleaning
Hydro jetting uses controlled, high pressure water to remove grease, sludge, organic residue, and other buildup from suitable drain and sewer lines. Our hydro jetting service may help when repeated clogs show that material remains inside the pipe after a basic clearing. This method can be useful for restaurant lines, commercial drains, multifamily buildings, and private sewer connections affected by accumulated debris. Before jetting, we consider pipe material, visible condition, access, and service history. A camera inspection may help confirm whether the line can support high pressure cleaning.

Sewer and Drain Camera Inspections
A waterproof camera gives the technician a direct view inside an accessible drain or sewer line. Our sewer camera inspection service can reveal visible roots, heavy buildup, offsets, separated joints, cracks, and obstructions. Video can also help locate a concern and document the condition of a line after cleaning. A camera does not remove a blockage or repair a pipe, but it reduces guesswork and supports a more informed service recommendation.

Preventative Drain and Sewer Maintenance
Scheduled cleaning can help reduce sudden backups in properties with recurring clogs, grease exposure, high use drains, roots, or a history of private sewer line problems. Our preventative drain maintenance options may include routine cleaning, camera inspection, and a service interval based on the property. Planned care can help homeowners monitor a troublesome line and help restaurants, multifamily buildings, retail properties, and other businesses avoid interruptions during busy periods.

Commercial Drain and Sewer Services
A blocked commercial line can affect employees, customers, tenants, production, and daily operations. Our commercial drain and sewer services support restaurants, offices, shops, apartment buildings, managed facilities, healthcare properties, industrial sites, and other Derry businesses. Available work may include drain cleaning, hydro jetting, camera inspection, recurring maintenance, and urgent response. We plan the service around access, operating hours, system use, and the impact on the property.

French Drain & Perimeter Drain Cleaning
French drains and perimeter drainage systems help move groundwater and surface water away from areas where excess moisture can create problems. Over time, soil, sediment, leaves, roots, and other debris can restrict flow and reduce the effectiveness of the drainage system. Our French drain and perimeter drain cleaning service can address suitable drainage lines affected by buildup, sediment, or blockage. The technician considers system access, visible drainage concerns, pipe condition, and the type of obstruction before selecting an appropriate cleaning method.

Restaurant Commercial Kitchen Drain Cleaning
Restaurant and commercial kitchen drains can experience heavy grease, food debris, sludge, soap residue, and other buildup from continuous daily use. Our commercial kitchen drain cleaning service can help address suitable drain lines affected by recurring buildup, slow drainage, or frequent backups. Regular professional cleaning may help maintain proper drainage and reduce interruptions that can affect kitchen operations, employees, and customers. The technician considers the drain type, access, usage patterns, existing buildup, and service history when determining the appropriate cleaning approach. For lines with significant grease or accumulated material, hydro jetting may be considered when the pipe is suitable for high pressure cleaning. Planned maintenance can also help restaurants and food-service businesses keep their drainage systems operating reliably during busy service periods.

I’m a local pool business owner with over 25 years of experience in the industry and was recommended to top dog to possibly find a leak in underground pool lines. Charlie came out to the first job, was super nice, however, had a hard time finding the pipes underground when we finally started digging the pipes where he said the crack was possibly located. After tearing up the lawn, the pipes were actually not where he said they were, and there was no crack in the pipes that ended up being in the static drain and a green pool we couldnt dive. Paid this invoice with no questions although it did raise some eyebrows, but I did give them another chance. Later this summer, I had them do the same thing at a pool in Bedford, The tech called me on site saying he was extremely new and “thought” he could check. He was there for 20 minutes and said there was nothing he could do because of 90s underground, (Which they DO state if they hit, they cannot go around two or more.) Upon digging up of that line, The break was 2 feet behind the return in the shallow end with no 90s. They are now trying to charge me $400 for the tech being in there for 20 minutes and not being able to find a leak foot behind the return. I don’t know how they are with sewer work, but I cannot warn people enough that they have absolutely no clue what they’re doing with pools. Another company came out pressurized/check the lines And charged the same price to actually find the issue. Disappointed is an understatementPosted on Google![]()

- FAQs
Salem Sewer and Drain Service FAQs
Yes. Salem operates a municipal wastewater collection system and sends wastewater to the Greater Lawrence Sanitary District for treatment. Where public sanitary sewer service is not available, properties may use private wastewater disposal systems that meet applicable requirements.
A clog that affects one sink, shower, or toilet may sit in that fixture or branch line. When several fixtures slow down, gurgle, or back up together, the problem may be in a shared drain or private sewer connection. Avoid running extra water and request an assessment when several parts of the property react at once.
Drain snaking can open many compacted or reachable clogs. Hydro jetting may be more useful when grease, sludge, or residue coats the walls of a suitable pipe and causes repeated blockages. Pipe condition matters, so a technician may recommend camera inspection before using high pressure water.
A sewer camera can show visible roots, buildup, obstructions, offsets, separated joints, cracks, and other conditions inside an accessible line. It can help locate a concern and guide the next service decision. The technician still needs to interpret the footage because different problems can look similar on screen.
High use commercial lines can collect grease, food residue, paper products, soap, and debris faster than many household drains. Repeated blockages may mean buildup remains on the pipe walls or a deeper condition restricts flow. Hydro jetting, camera inspection, or scheduled maintenance may help depending on the line.
The right interval depends on usage, line history, grease exposure, and how quickly buildup returns. A restaurant, multifamily property, retail center, or high use facility may need more frequent service than an office. The schedule may be monthly, quarterly, annual, or customized according to actual conditions.
